Yaniks Underground Seminar Wrap-Up

After I got back from the Underground Seminar here in Washington, DC, I came down with a horrible cold and I’m still getting over it.

So here’s my quick take on the 3 days:

Many amazing speakers with an intro by Bob Parsons – owner of Godaddy ($7.49 for domains)
The owner (Tony Hsieh) of Zappos made a re-appearance this year and gave another amazing presentation
There were presentations on setting up your own association, product re-launches, Adwords, reverse mergers, and much more
The real beauty of the seminar is the networking – this alone makes the seminar worth the price. I re-connected with many people I’ve met before and made many new acquaintances.
There was a great performace by The Spazmatics – if you ever get a chance to see them, do it!
As usual I got very little sleep…

The bottom line is that if you want to enter or take your online marketing to the next level, then you need to attend in 2010.

Yanik Silver’s Underground Seminar – Day 1

The first day started off with a bang – Bob Parsons of Godaddy was the keynote speaker and delivered one of the best speeches I’ve heard in a while. The remainder of the day was filled with great speakers that covered launches and re-launches, forming associations, the importance of stories, and much more. After the speakers finished it was time for the Secret Society members, Mavericks, and VIPs to gather for a dinner and gambling. I didn’t even hit a table – I just spent the evening talking to people and had an amazing time! I got little sleep last night, so tonight I’m going to bed at 2am so I’m somewhat conscious Sat for day 2.

Underground Seminar Update

So here I am working my butt off and thinking the seminar is at the end of February, so I have 2 weeks left – NOT! I re-checked the emails and I only have 6 days left…they changed the date before and I updated my calendar, but not that mental note. It’s scramble time as I prepare my list of things to do before, during, and after the seminar. I’m taking 500 business cards and expect to exchange every one of them while at the seminar.

I also checked and Google Shadow did increase in price – to $77 instead of the $67 intro pricing. Even at $77 it’s a bargain…you really need to grab a copy.

I just got my confirmation today about getting in to the Underground Seminar in February 2009 and I’m ready!

For those of you that don’t know, Yanik runs a seminar each year where he brings in the top people (at his expense) who make millions online each year. The first year I went was in 2007 and was the best 3 days I had spent at a seminar in quite some time. I was actually voted the “Secret Agent” at that seminar – out of the hundreds of people there I was chosen as the one person they felt should speak at the next event. I haven’t been asked to speak, but he did interview me about domains for his monthly newsletter for Secret Society members.

Anyway…just wanted to let you know that you should make every effort to attend them.
